Shipping information

Order processing time:

Growing succulents and selling seed is just a hobby and I have another full time job and are often away from home. I try to send orders as soon as possible after they are placed but please allow up to 14 days for me to send your order. If I do not respond to messages immediately please remain patient, I will always get back to you.

Seeds are shipped in a small bubble wrap envelope. Individual seeds are packed per type in small glassine envelopes and clearly marked.

I include no invoices or paperwork inside the envelope. The small envelopes do not require customs declaration on my side.

If you have any other preference, please contact me prior to placing an order.

Australian buyers: For Australian buyers I will include the standard declaration as required by Australian authorities.

International shipping:

Seeds are mailed by using the South African Post Office registered mail service, a very reliable service but unfortunately not very fast.

I provide a tracking number, however this tracking only updates until the envelope leaves the international mail center in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Please note that envelopes may take anything from 4 – 12 weeks to arrive at an international destination. There is no real concern that an envelope is lost before at least a 12 week period has passed. The registered mail service is however very reliable and I have a very close to 100% successful delivery rate.

I have sent seed envelopes successfully all over the world including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada etc.

Please familiarise yourself with your own import regulations ans risks of importing seeds. No refunds can be offered for envelopes being confiscated by your customs or agricultural agencies. No phytosanitary certificates can be provided at this point.

South African buyers:

I prefer EFT payments to my bank account in ZAR, but Paypal checkout is also an option. If you checkout on Paypal it will cost you more due to the exchange rate used in the transaction and the indicative shipping amount charged.

After placing your order, please wait for me to email you the ZAR amount payable. I will always use a discounted exchange rate ( I currently use R12/$ compared to actual rate of around R18/$) for local payments and will also only charge the actual shipping fee in South African Rand.

Seeds will be sent by CourierGuy for R85 or Postnet counter-to-counter parcel service for R100. When paying by EFT, just ignore the USD shipping amount on checkout, I will confirm the correct amount in ZAR.
